WASHINGTON, Jan. 19 -- Sen. Johnny Isakson, R-Ga., has introduced legislation (S. 2315) to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act "to clarify the regulatory framework with respect to certain nonprescription drugs that are marketed without an approved new drug application."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 17 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Robert Casey Jr., D-Pa. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
