WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 -- Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, has introduced legislation (S. 2306) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to encourage the use of 529 plans and Coverdell education savings accounts."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 16 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
