WASHINGTON, Oct. 8 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' National Institutes of Health announced that it intends to award a discretionary grant for a study to address critical scientific questions on the clinical course of infection and treatment in a large cohort of HIV-positive young women of reproductive age.

This funding opportunity uses the research project grant mechanism.
