$1 Million Gift Creates Deductive Literacy Professorship
EAST LANSING, Michigan, Nov. 22 -- Michigan State University issued the following news release:
A $1 million gift from Daniel Van Haften will create a faculty position in deductive literacy, the first privately funded endowed professorship in Michigan State University's mathematics department.
Van Haften, a 1970 alumnus with an undergraduate and master's degree in mathematics, co-authored "Abraham Lincoln and the Structure of Reason" with fellow MSU 1970 alumn . . .
