Alumnus and Qualcomm Co-Founder Franklin Antonio Gives $30 Million to UC San Diego
LA JOLLA, Calif., Nov. 18 -- The University of California's San Diego campus issued the following news release:
University of California San Diego alumnus and Qualcomm co-founder Franklin Antonio is donating $30 million to the university in support of a new building for engineering research and education.
In recognition of the generous gift, UC San Diego will name the planned building that the campus is currently designing - and raising funds to build - Franklin Antonio . . .
