TAHLEQUAH, Okla., June 23 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:
The Cherokee Nation donated a vehicle to the Peggs Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday.
Cherokee Nation Principal Chief Bill John Baker, Deputy Chief S. Joe Crittenden, Tribal Councilor Rex Jordan and Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr. presented the keys of a 2004 Ford F-350 to Peggs Volunteer Fire Department representative Dale Fine. . . .
