Cherokee Nation Dedicates $2.5M Road Project Near Kenwood

TAHLEQUAH, Okla., Jan. 20 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

The Cherokee Nation dedicated 11.63 miles of newly paved roadway on Kenwood Road in Delaware County on Wednesday.

The tribe completed the $2.5 million project using funds from the tribal transportation program budget. The new roadway is located east of Kenwood at the intersection of Kenwood Road and U.S. Hwy 59.
