DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson Must End Private Detention

Today, the Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson announced that he has directed a review of private prisons for immigrant detention to determine whether ICE will maintain their private contracts or terminate them. This follows a decision by the Department of Justice earlier this month to reduce, and ultimately end, the use of private facilities under the Bureau of Prisons.
