WASHINGTON, Nov. 17 -- Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., has introduced legislation (S. 2133) to amend the Food Security Act of 1985 "to authorize the Secretary of Agriculture to enter into alternative funding arrangements with certain community irrigation associations and community land grants."
The bill was introduced on Nov. 15 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Martin Heinrich, D-N.M. It was referred to the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee.
