WASHINGTON, Nov. 20 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Reclamation announced that it intends to award a $1.3 million cooperative agreement to the Idaho Office of Species Conservation for a fish tracking study at the Upper Salmon River.
The agency description of the grant states: "Populations of spring/summer Chinook salmon (hereafter Chinook salmon) within the Snake River Evolutionary Significant Unit (ESU) are listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act . . .
