WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 -- The Government Accountability Office has issued a report on the extent to which the Coast Guard has a sound process for analyzing the need for its boat stations and taken actions to implement its boat station process results. The report (GAO-18-9) is titled "Coast Guard: Actions Needed to Close Stations Identified as Overlapping and Unnecessarily Duplicative".
The report was sent to Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Trans . . .
