WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 -- Sen. Michael Bennet, D-Colo., has introduced legislation (S. 1932) to amend the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act "to provide for certain wildfire mitigation assistance."
The bill was introduced on Oct. 5 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Mike Crapo, R-Idaho, Jon Tester, D-Mont., James Risch, R-Idaho, and Ron Wyden, D-Ore. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
