WASHINGTON, Sept. 25 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's National Park Service announced that it intends to award a $49,616 cooperative agreement to The Nature Conservancy of Arlington, Va., for eucalyptus removal at the Channel Islands National Park in California.
The agency description of the grant states: "Santa Cruz Island, the largest island in Channel Islands National Park (CHIS or Park), is home to eleven endemic plant and animal species including Santa Cruz Island fox . . .
