WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 -- Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., has introduced the Homeland Security for Children Act (S. 1847) to amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 "to ensure that the needs of children are considered in homeland security, trafficking, and disaster recovery planning."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 19 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Margaret Wood Hassan, D-N.H. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
