WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 -- Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., has introduced legislation (S. 1832) to "prohibit Federal agencies from using Government funds to pay for the lodging of agency employees at establishments that are owned by or employ certain public officials or their relatives."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 19 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Tom Udall, D-N.M. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
