WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 -- Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., has introduced legislation (S. 1831) to "expand eligibility for certain housing programs for qualified volunteer first responders."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 19 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Jon Tester, D-Mont. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
