WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Sen. Christopher S. Murphy, D-Conn., has introduced legislation (S. 1805) to "require the Secretary of Agriculture to establish a program to recognize farms that have been in continuous operation for 100 years."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 14 and was co-sponsored by Sen. John Boozman, R-Ark. It was referred to the Senate Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry Committee.
