WASHINGTON, Sept. 16 -- Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo., has introduced legislation (S. 1802) to amend title 5, U.S. Code, "to extend the maximum time a person may serve as an acting officer."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 13. It was referred to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee.
