WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has introduced a resolution (S. Res. 245) "calling on the Government of Iran to release unjustly detained United States citizens and legal permanent resident aliens."
The resolution was introduced on Aug. 3 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, D-Vt. It was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
