WASHINGTON, Aug. 5 -- Sen. Joe Donnelly, D-Ind., has introduced legislation (S. 1751) to "modify the definitions of a mortgage originator, a high-cost mortgage, and a loan originator."
The bill was introduced on Aug. 3 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Patrick Toomey, R-Pa., Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., Tom Cotton, R-Ark., and Gary Peters, D-Mich. It was referred to the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee.
