WASHINGTON, July 22 -- Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., has introduced legislation (S. 1592) to "prohibit the Federal Government from requiring race or ethnicity to be disclosed in connection with the transfer of a firearm."
The bill was introduced on July 20 and has seven co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., John Cornyn, R-Texas, Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., Michael B. Enzi, R-Wyo., John Thune, R-S.D., Luther Strange, R-Ala., and Shelley Moore Capito, R-W.Va.
