WASHINGTON, July 20 -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has introduced legislation (S. 1574) to "impose sanctions on individuals who are complicit in human rights abuses committed against nationals of Vietnam or their family members."
The bill was introduced on July 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. John Boozman, R-Ark., Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla. It was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
