WASHINGTON, July 15 -- Sen. Al Franken, D-Minn., has introduced legislation (S. 1565) to "support the preparation and retention of outstanding educators in all fields to ensure a bright future for children in under-resourced, under-served communities in the United States."
The bill was introduced on July 13. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
