WASHINGTON, July 15 -- Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., has introduced legislation (S. 1563) to "authorize the Office of Fossil Energy to develop advanced separation technologies for the extraction and recovery of rare earth elements and minerals from coal and coal byproducts."
The bill was introduced on July 13. It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
