WASHINGTON, July 15 -- Sen. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 1554) to "require certain practitioners authorized to prescribe controlled substances to complete continuing education."
The bill was introduced on July 13 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
