WASHINGTON, July 15 -- Sen. Luther Strange, R-Ala., has introduced legislation (S. 1550) to "improve the authority of the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to hire and retain physicians and other employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs."
The bill was introduced on July 13 and was co-sponsored by Sens. James M. Inhofe, R-Okla., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark. It was referred to the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee.
