WASHINGTON, July 17 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior's U.S. Geological Survey announced that it intends to award a $65,211 cooperative agreement to the University of Montana for rapid genetic screening in tandem with tree ring analysis and climate data to identify drought tolerance and bark beetle resistance in pines.
The funding opportunity number is USGS-17-FA-0268 (CFDA 15.820).
