WASHINGTON, May 20 -- Sen. Tammy Baldwin, D-Wis., has introduced legislation (S. 1186) to "authorize the Secretary of Transportation to designate certain entities as centers of excellence for domestic maritime workforce training and education."
The bill was introduced on May 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. John Cornyn, R-Texas, Tim Kaine, D-Va., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and John Kennedy, R-La. It was referred to the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee.
