WASHINGTON, March 25 -- Sen. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, has introduced legislation (S. 707) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to ensure that pass-through businesses do not pay tax at a higher rate than corporations."
The bill was introduced on March 23 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
