WASHINGTON, March 25 -- Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has introduced legislation (S. 704) to "provide that members of the Armed Forces performing services in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt shall be entitled to tax benefits in the same manner as if such services were performed in a combat zone."
The bill was introduced on March 23 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
