WASHINGTON, Feb. 19 -- Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah, has introduced legislation (S. 409) to "provide that the President must seek congressional approval before engaging members of the United States Armed Forces in military humanitarian operations."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 16 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky. It was referred to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
