WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 -- Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., has introduced legislation (S. 183) to "allow for expedited approval of generic prescription drugs and temporary importation of prescription drugs in the case of noncompetitive drug markets and drug shortages."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 20 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Mike Lee, R-Utah. It was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
