WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Education announced that it intends to award a discretionary grant for the Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program that is designed to effect long-range improvement in education at predominantly minority institutions and to increase the flow of underrepresented ethnic minorities, particularly minority women, into scientific and technological careers.
The estimated total program funding available was cited as $2,597,607 wit . . .
