WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 -- The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor announced that it intends to award a discretionary grant for projects that mitigate threats of violent extremism in Nigeria and Kenya by promoting community resilience and empowering youth leaders to recognize and prevent violence committed by groups such as Boko Haram and Al Shabaab.
The award ceiling for this funding opportunity is $1,185,185.
