WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 -- Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., has introduced legislation (S. 3464) to "provide incremental increases to the salary threshold for exemptions for executive, administrative, professional, outside sales, and computer employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 28 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Susan M. Collins, R-Maine, James Lankford, R-Okla., Tim Scott, R-S.C., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz.
