WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, has introduced legislation (S. 3187) to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act to "revise and extend the user-fee programs for prescription drugs and medical devices, to establish user-fee programs for generic drugs and bio-similars."
The bill was introduced on May 15 and is co-sponsored by Sen. Michael Enzi, R-Wyo.
