WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., has introduced legislation (S. 3186) to "make it unlawful to alter or remove the identification number of a mobile device."
The bill was introduced on May 15.
The legislation was referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
