WASHINGTON, May 16 -- Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., has introduced legislation (S. 3179) to amend the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act to "enhance the protections accorded to servicemembers and their spouses with respect to mortgages."
The bill was introduced on May 15 and has four co-sponsors. Co-sponsors include Sens. Richard J. Durbin, D-Ill., Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Mark Begich, D-Alaska.
