Millions in Funding Going to Non-Federally Recognized Indian Tribes

WASHINGTON, May 15 -- While the federal government only recognizes 566 Indian tribes, another approximately 400 claim to be in existence and some of those even receive federal funding, the Government Accountability Office revealed.
