WASHINGTON, May 12 -- The American International Group, commonly known as AIG, has continued to pay back the money it received from the federal government as part of federal bailout program, the Government Accountability Office revealed.
In a report titled, "Troubled Asset Relief Program: Government's Exposure to AIG Lessens as Equity Investments Are Sold" (Report No. GAO-12-574) the GAO said that while the money continued to be repaid there was still an outstanding balance of $46 . . .
