WASHINGTON, Jan. 24 -- Sen. Richard Durbin, D-Ill., has introduced legislation (S. 2032) to "amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 regarding proprietary institutions of higher education in order to protect students and taxpayers."
The bill was introduced on Jan. 23 and was co-sponsored by Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa.
The legislation was referred to the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee.
